- 12 Aziz Dates Organic Pitted Medjool Dates
- 1 green apple, peeled and diced
- 1 tablespoon organic coconut sugar (unrefined)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon arrowroot flour
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 2 tablespoons chopped pecans
Instructions
- Sauté the Apples: In a medium pan over medium-low heat, cook the diced green apple with cinnamon, coconut sugar, and 1/4 cup of water for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until softened.
- Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, mix the arrowroot flour with the remaining 1/4 cup of water. Add this mixture to the apple compote to thicken it, resembling traditional apple pie filling. Set aside.
- Prepare the Dates: Slice off the tops of the Medjool dates and remove the pits. Arrange them on a serving plate.
- Stuff the Dates: Fill each date with approximately 1 tablespoon of the apple pie filling. Top with chopped pecans for added crunch.
